FRONT VIEW / DESIGN
COLOR WITH
CHARACTER.
Faded rust meets an off-center charcoal sun and flowing contour artwork.
01 / 06
A worn-in direction with a clear focal point.
This vintage wash hoodie concept uses a warm rust base with tonal depth around the seams. An asymmetric charcoal sun sits beside contour lines that move across the lower front and kangaroo pocket, balanced by a small cream star near the chest. The faded color provides the atmosphere while the graphic gives the garment its identity. Your collection can develop a different palette, artwork and finish around the same considered approach.
VINTAGE IS A DIRECTION
The term describes the intended appearance. It does not identify a specific wash treatment, fabric composition, garment age or performance level.
APPROVE THE SURFACE
Compare the body, sleeve panels and rib under consistent lighting. Agree the target shade and acceptable fading before bulk production.

BACK VIEW / DETAILS
LESS GRAPHIC.
MORE CHARACTER.
A small upper-back mark and a low contour detail connect to the front.
02 / 06
Keep the reverse open and intentional.
The back keeps most of the faded rust surface visible. A small cream orbital mark sits beneath the hood, while a limited charcoal contour detail appears near the lower edge. Neither repeats the large front sun. The tonal elbow panels and visible seam lines continue the garment's identity when viewed from behind. Define the back placements separately, including the clearance from the hood and rib hem.
SHADE REVIEW
Large open areas make uneven color easy to see. Agree what natural variation is acceptable using physical references rather than a screen alone.
PLACEMENT CHECK
Assess the back graphic standing and seated, with the hood down, to see which details remain visible in ordinary wear.

FIT STUDY / 03
RELAXED.
WITH A PLAN.
- FINISHED SIZEMeasure after the proposed treatment.
- RIB BALANCECheck recovery and hem tension.
- ELBOW PANELSReview position when the arm bends.
- POCKET HEIGHTKeep placement consistent with body length.
03 / 06
Fit the garment after the finish.
A relaxed body, dropped shoulders and ribbed edges give this hoodie an easy streetwear outline. The proposed finish can affect garment dimensions and the relationship between body fabric, rib and elbow panels. Set the desired finished measurements first and assess them after the intended treatment. Review hood depth, sleeve reach, pocket position and lower-hem tension on the complete sample rather than approving an untreated blank alone.
DIMENSION CONTROL
Agree measurement points and tolerances for the finished garment. Any allowance for processing should be established through sampling, not guessed from imagery.
WEAR CHECK
Assess arm movement, hood weight and pocket access in the treated sample, using the underlayer your collection is designed to accommodate.

MATERIAL & CRAFT / 04
FADE WITH
INTENTION.
- WASH TRIALEstablish shade and fading character.
- PRINT SEQUENCEAssess decoration before or after finishing.
- POCKET ALIGNMENTReview continuity across separate pieces.
04 / 06
Build the shade and print as one finish.
Different material and finishing routes can produce different faded effects, so the process starts with the target appearance and selected fabric. Review the proposed treatment, print method and production sequence together. This artwork crosses the pocket area, making placement and assembly particularly important. Sampling should establish the intended contrast between charcoal artwork and rust base, print handfeel, seam appearance and the acceptable range of shade variation.
APPROVAL STANDARD
Keep an approved shade and garment reference. Confirm whether variations across panels or between pieces are intentional and how they will be assessed.
RELEVANT CHECKS
Agree dimensional and color/decoration checks for the chosen fabric. Product test report availability and scope are confirmed for your specific order.

ON-BODY / 05
WORN-IN
PRESENCE.
A warm upper layer stands out against a restrained dark-denim outfit.
05 / 06
Let the color lead the outfit.
The full-body concept shows how faded rust can anchor a streetwear outfit without filling the entire garment with artwork. Loose dark denim gives the warm hoodie room to stand out, while the walking pose reveals sleeve volume and how the hem sits at the waist. Use this as a styling direction for your collection. A physical sample remains necessary to judge the actual handfeel, weight and movement after finishing.
DAYLIGHT REVIEW
Inspect the approved color under agreed lighting conditions. Warm scene lighting and different screens can change how a rust shade appears.
COLLECTION PLANNING
Related colors may require their own finishing trials. Do not assume one approved wash result transfers unchanged to a different dye or fabric.

MADE TO ORDER

BEFORE YOU SEND YOUR BRIEF
Does vintage wash mean acid wash or garment dye?
Not automatically. Vintage wash describes the desired appearance here. The suitable dyeing or finishing route is assessed using your color reference, fabric and artwork, then confirmed through sampling.
Will every washed hoodie have exactly the same fading?
Some treatments can produce variation. Agree an approved shade reference and acceptable range for your chosen route before bulk production; an image cannot define that tolerance reliably.
Can artwork continue across the kangaroo pocket?
It can be assessed, but pocket construction and the decoration sequence affect alignment. Send separate artwork and placement measurements, then approve the complete decorated sample.
